I don't see where is problem with my code that the task isn't solved. Please give me a tip.

Your code never enters the loop as the condition is false (a is 1 and the loop only executes if a > 1) You probably intend to have 10 iterations. In the loops body you print $$. Means in the end you have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (20 times a $) -> not what you wanted. The solution is a classy nested loop. With a for loop very simple, with a while loop a little bit more demanding. Here's how you can translate a for to a while loop

for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) {
    // body
}

int i = 0;
while (i < count) {
    // body
    // and at the end of the body
    i++;
}
