Hello,
The buttons Debug and Run are grayed out in my IntelliJ IDEA. This only occurs in the codegym project, I don't have such issues in other projects.
I am using linux mint, I can verify tests, but cannot debug and run, in order to check my code before verification.
If you had such issues, please let me know how did you managed it.

I resolved it by myself. There was some message regarding update of something (I really don't remember of what), located on the top part of the screen above the window with code. Then I followed the instructions from Nouser's comment and it worked.

Have you tried right clicking on the tab with the main method (or on that file in the project explorer) and chose run from the opening menu? After that it should be 'active' and the buttons in the menu should work as expected.

I tried, but there's absolutely no option to run the code. Yet, if I create normal project (not a codegym one), I get everything working as intended.
