Here you are doing explicit type conversion but in wrong way. so you need to write double TF = celsius*(double)9/5 + 32; instead of double TF=(double)((celsius)*9/5) + 32; Or you can it in a simple way like - double TF = 9 / 5.0 * celsius + 32; In your code 9/5 = 1 and its multiply by celsius after this, it is converted to double. But here need to convert 9/5 to double so (double)9/5 = 1.8.

Not sure if you have solved this but I just wanted to say that you are SO close :) What you don't need to do is to declare that it's a double twice

As for mathrules, no () is needed and if you want to type division before multiplication, do it, just wanted to say that use the way you're most comfortable with. A few examples

celsius * 9 / 5.0 + 32;
//Is the same as
9 / 5.0 * celsius + 32;

Because we are dealing with a double, 0.0 value you should also divide it by a double value, in this case 5.0 instead of just an int 5.

Variable type must be mentioned before variable name only. Its not suppose to mention to assign it. So you have to remove (double) after assignment operator (=) to get desired result.
