Let's understand the question properly first. Here you've been asked to take two input from the keyboard. One of them will be String Input and another one will be integer input. For Example, If String Input is "Hendra" and integer input is 6. Then you've to write code in this way that the String "Hendra" is printed 6 times. Let's see how I'll do this. Declare three variables(s, num, count). 's' will take input string and 'num' will take integer input from the keyboard, and I'll also take 'count' variable which will be initialised by 1. Now write conditions in this way.

The task asks you to input two values. - the first save as String - the second save as int You read only one value from the keyboard. That value you save in 'Name' and the very same value you try to parse into an int. That'll throw a RuntimeException (line 16) cause you can not make a valid number out of eg 'abc'. Means you just need to read a second value in the parenthesis in line 16 instead of using Name. Further comments to your code. - Remove the try-catch. It is of no use here as in its body no checked exception may be thrown. The only checked exception may occur with the call of readLine() and your main methods signature already has a throws Exception part that'll take care of it. - write variables in camel case an start them lowercase like 'name' - methods the same, the parenthesis indicate it's a method myMethod() - classes also are written in camel case but start with a capital letter like MyClass {} This way you see right away what you're dealing with.
