Hello,
Is it necessary to use IntelliJ IDEA software? I learn with CodeGym on company's computer and have no possibility to install any software. Will I miss a lot if I don't use IntelliJ IDEA? Are some tasks only present in IntelliJ IDEA ?
IntelliJ IDEA - is it optional

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that you can complete a lot of the problems on this website with just the online compiler, but you are going to need to be already a fairly good programmer to do so. If you are on this website like a lot of us, just starting out with programming or very minimal previous experience, you will struggle. A larger part of learning programming is making mistakes and then troubleshooting your mistakes. Perfectly legit code will not run through the online compiler, even though it will verify. This means that you will never know if your code is working or not other than it fails verification. With no way to test code, finding bugs is going to be next to impossible. I've seen some stubborn people make it to level 4/5 before giving up and just accepting that intelliJ is needed.

Hmm, ok, noted, I just finished level 3 and did not have any issues with online compiler. It also gives some hints what is wrong with the code. Perhaps the complexity of problems will drastically rise in the next 2 chapters.
One more question since you seem to be here for a longer time: are there any news when course 20+ level will become available?

I haven't heard any. I am anxiously awaiting to continue past 20, I have been since late December.
And yes, the problems steadily rise in complexity, and you will start having a lot of trouble where you need user input. Once you learn user input +/- 95% of the tasks require user input.
