2. Make the StringObject class implement the SimpleObject interface using a String parameter.
3. The program must compile.

Requirements:

The StringObject class must implement the SimpleObject interface.
The SimpleObject interface in the StringObject class must be implemented using a String parameter.
The StringObject class must implement the SimpleObject interface's getInstance method.
The Solution class must have a StringObject class.
The StringObject class must be static.

This should help: Line 10: SimpleObject<String> stringObject = new StringObject<Object>(); ↑ declares Simple object of String type ↑ initiates a StringObject of Object type To get the first part to work you need this code: interface SimpleObject<T> <--- SimpleObject<T> in calling code 'T' would be replaced by a class, in line 10 it was replaced with 'String' On the second part of Line 10, the code StringObject<Object> is used, but there is no declaration that a class inside brackets should be used (called generics fyi): Line 16: public static class StringObject implements SimpleObject You should probably add the generics declaration (<T>) in the appropriate spot.
