hey guys i wondering why should i suffer from this little things please tell me what's the problem here

Number of days in the year

please help me in this code

Use the keyboard to enter a year, and then determine the number of days in the year. Display the result as follows:
Number of days in the year: x
, where
x is 366 for a leap year, and
x is 365 for an ordinary year.

Hint:
A leap year is 366 days, but an ordinary year is 365 days.
1) if the year is evenly divisible by 400, then it is a leap year;
2) for other years, if the year is evenly divisible by 100, then it is a regular year;
3) for other years, if the year is evenly divisible by 4, then it is a leap year;
4) all remaining years are not leap years.
Thus, the years 1700, 1800, and 1900 are not leap years, since they are multiples of 100 but not 400.
The years 1600 and 2000 are leap years, since they are multiples of 100 and multiples of 400.
The years 2100, 2200 and 2300 are not leap years.

Requirements:

The program should read a number from the keyboard.
The program should display text on the screen according to the task conditions.
If the entered year is a leap year, you should display: "Number of days in the year: 366".
If the entered year is not a leap year, you should display: "Number of days in the year: 365".

1: don't print this: System.out.println("Enter a Year:"); They want only you to read a number from the console. 2: the correct verification is something like that.

if (year%400 == 0 && year%100 == 0 || year%4 == 0 && year%100 != 0)
            x = 366;
        else
            x = 365;

thanks bro i think the condition is well this is the least required condition it doesn't require to add 100 again this is the same but i will try to change it and print doesn't cause any problem but i will remove it and see what will happen i'll tell you thanks again

i have tried your code in my program and removed print but doesn't work i will change the entire program and make it simple like yours , i was just trying to solve it by another method that return Boolean but it doesn't work i don't know why but i will tell you too

ok. If you wanna compare, this was mine:

Just one more thing that I saw now. They want that the x in the requirements be the variable that refers to the number of years... You're sending the number of days as a string and not passing the variable x...

Mohamed / Berkson ... can you clarify what code you split out and put into main ( ) versus method(s) ?? Clearly this is a clean function / method module. Seems like main ( ) become a large blob of calls .... prints ... input/ output processing ... out of the box java functionality ... etc Thoughts ? For example would IO stuff go into an IO method ?
