It's all fair to modify confusing code, but it has to at least make sense.
Everything implements one another, it's so confusing, I can't keep track of which one I actually am using and modifying.
(I would just have re-written it. (I know in the real world, you need to work on code like this, but I am still trying to learn this, lol!)
This task made no sense to me, sorry.....

IntelliJ will help sort this out for you. I count 2 contains bones, one calls 'super' which means the containsBones from the parent class (since there are only 2, 1 calls the other). Change the first one to return an object that is either "yes" if the original was true, and "no" is the original if the original was false. Then modify the second one to do the same (you are going to need to use some conditional logic). Every bit of code that uses those will turn red, which is a nice highlighted map for you to figure out what needs reworking. All the rest of the code is fluff and you shouldn't even focus on it. Just change the logic to work with yes/no instead of true/false.
