I'm not too sure what's required here and how this is supposed to work, please help. Thank you

1. In the Solution class, create the public static Idea class
2. In the Idea class, declare a public String getDescription() method that returns any non-empty string
3. In the Solution class, create a static public void printIdea(Idea idea) method that will display a description of the idea (what the getDescription method returns)

Requirements:

In the Solution class, create the public static Idea class.
In the Idea class, create the public String getDescription() method.
The getDescription method must return any non-empty string.
In the Solution class, create a public static void printIdea(Idea idea) method.
The printIdea method should display the idea description on the screen.

Hi, In line 14, the word "static" is missing. In line 15, instead of "Idea" (object type), should be "idea"(variable)

That worked, thanks so much. Follow up question: when you say "...should be "idea"(variable)", does that mean any I'm referencing a variable from the Idea class?

I'm glad that my answer was helpful. This fragment of code: "printIdea(Idea idea)" means that when you would like to use this method, you have to give as an argument reference to specific object (not variable) which type is "Idea". "idea" is just a name for this object which you can use later in the method. Your code can also look like this and it will work the same:

public void printIdea(Idea myVarName){
        System.out.println(myVarName.getDescription);
    }
