I have been going around in circles. I'm sure the problem is simple to somebody. Would someone check my code?

Add a public static int convertToSeconds(int hour) method that converts hours to seconds.
Call it twice in the main method with any arguments.
Display the results, each time on a new line.

Requirements:

Add the convertToSeconds method. It must be public static, and take and return ints.
The convertToSeconds method must convert the passed number of hours to seconds.
The main method must call the convertToSeconds method twice.
The main method should display the result of the calls, each time on a new line.
The convertToSeconds method should not display anything.

In line 10, public static int convertToSeconds(int hour); <-- ; Should be { And don't forget to close it, too. In line 12 you wrote (s), but you need only write s (the name of the variable). Good luck!

you 1st mistake in 9th line - you take semicolon after declare method. 2nd error is you not use hour variable but you declare it and passing value through this argumet so you make it correct like this way public static int convertToSecends(int hour) { int s =3600*hour; return s; }

First of all, curly brackets after defining the method convertToSeconds. Second 3600 is already 60*60 which is minutes times seconds and just that you have to multiply by the number of hours which will be a variable. So its not 3600*60. You're getting a to big of a number here.

You are right that it is simple. When you create a block of code you need to surround it with curly brackets (just like the main method has open bracket ' { 'and closing bracket ' } ' around the code within). Get rid of the semi colon at line 10 and then surround lines 11 and 12 with the brackets. Also, in the main method, you need to make sure each value is on a separate line. print will not accomplish this.
