This just makes absolutely no sense to me at all.

Question about the task

I was expecting it to tell me there was like one or two errors and that I would be able to just correct those and be on my marry way but this is all just spaghetti to me and it makes very little sense. Also I was there was more we can read about the subject but so little info is given we are stuck just clamming about trying to copy the stuff we see within the code.

1. Following the MVC pattern, do the following by analogy with how the previous methods were implemented:
write the logic for deleting a user. After a deletion operation, the list of users must be displayed.

Assign the following methods to MVC classes:
public void fireUserDeletedEvent(long id)
public void onDeleteUser(long id)
public void deleteUserById(long id)
Note: the method that you are going to add to the View needs to be added to EditUserView.

2. Call fireUserDeletedEvent(124L) in main before calling the fireShowDeletedUsersEvent() method.

3. Refactor the MainModel class. Currently, some of the methods stop working properly when there are deleted users.
Almost all the methods that require a list of users must work only with active users.
Extract into a separate private List<User> getAllUsers() method the logic to get the list of all active users.
You already have the ability to filter active users in the List<User> filterOnlyActiveUsers(List<User> allUsers) method.
Refactor all the methods that use a list of users. They should use the list of active users.

4. Add to the Model interface the method that you put in the Model, and implement it in FakeModel: throw an UnsupportedOperationException.

Requirements:

You need to determine the correct location for the fireUserDeletedEvent(long) method, and implement it.
You need to determine the correct location for the onDeleteUser(long) method, and implement it.
You need to determine the correct location for the deleteUserById(long) method, and implement it.
You need to call the fireUserDeletedEvent(124L) method on the EditUserView object in the Solution class's main method before calling the fireShowDeletedUsersEvent() method.
In the main method, the method calls should occur in the following order: fireShowAllUsersEvent(), fireOpenUserEditFormEvent(126L), fireUserDeletedEvent(124L), fireShowDeletedUsersEvent().
You need to implement the private List<User> getAllUsers() method in the MainModel class.
You need to do some refactoring: all of the MainModel class's methods should use the list of active users.
The Model interface must declare the method that you previously implemented in the MainModel class.
In the FakeModel class, you need to throw an UnsupportedOperationException in the body of the method that was added to the Model interface.

I had the same errors. However, the validator quite accurately indicated what the problem is. 1. In the EditUserView class, you need to add the public void fireUserDeletedEvent (long id) method, where nna controller is called onDeleteUser (id) We do not give the fireUserDeletedEvent (long id) method in any case 2. In the Controller class we add the public void onDeleteUser (long id) method. a. Inside, you need to call the deleteUserById (id) method on the model b. Then, analogically to the deleteUserById (id) method, we call the refresh method (model.getDataModel ()), but now on usersView 3. In the solution class in the main method, we call the methodfireUserDeletedEvent (124L) on editUserView. This should be put before calling usersView.fireShowDeletedUsersEvent (); 4. In the MainModel class you need to declare private List <User> getAllUsers () in which we return userService.filterOnlyActiveUsers (userService.getUsersBetweenLevels (1, 100)); In the loadUsers method, instead of the userService.getUsersBetweenLevels (1, 100) entry, we give the declared getAllUsers () list According to the content of the task, we create a method in the MainModel class public void public void deleteUserById (long id), in which we call the deleteUser (id) method on userService. Then we call the loadUsers () method. Good luck:)

Yep, Jason, this task makes no sense. I completely agree. Some may think I'm negative, but this isn't a welfare course for those who already understand wtf they are talking about w.r.t. complex MVC processing. I don't have the first clue on what I'm doing in this task, and am just copying and pasting code to eventually be able to move on.

okay clearly no one is answering this question cause I have all the requirements and this shit still isn't passing. I'm guessing this is just another bugged task? I was able to clear the "You need to do some refactoring: all of the MainModel class's methods should use the list of active users." part but still everything else does not pass.
