Microsoft’s vision of the future | Nerd break
Level 6 is almost done! And you know what? Now’s the right time to relax before the final tasks. Today we’ll take a peek at the near future. Emerging technologies could entirely transform our lives in just 5 to 10 years. You might be one of the people behind the great changes in how we get things done.
This is dullest depiction of the future I have ever seen.
And productivity-wise, I'm not even seeing a single improvement on the things the way they currently are. In fact, everything looks more distracting, most likely leading to a less productive environment. Productivity is getting focused and getting deep-work done, not circling some random bit of info here and scrabbling some poorly handwritten note there, all projected on a fancy wall-screen for no real reason at all.
You can say many things about Microsoft and it's business practices but you must give credit to it's CEO Satya Nadella. He managed to turn the company around with much needed focus and clarity after that sweat bag of failure called Steve Ballmer who laughed at the first iphone because 'it dOEsN't HaVE a keEybOarD'.
