• JReleaser is a new release automation tool for Java projects: it’s an open-source that supports any version of Java starting from Java 8. Available on GitHub.

• Dependency graph supports GitHub Actions: from any repository which uses Actions, users can now see their Actions workflows listed alongside any other dependencies in the Insights/Dependency Graph experience.

• IntelliJ IDEA launches an experimental plugin for debugging microservices: with the enhanced Smart Step-Into action available in HTTP files and Java/Kotlin code.

• Java developer is the UK’s best job for 2022 — according to an annual ranking by Glassdoor, this role pays an annual £55,381 ($74,231) on average.

• Tech industry employment in the U.S. is breaking the records in January.

Online Security:

• Microsoft mitigated 3.47 Tbps DDoS attack on Azure services: the company managed to protect its users from over 359,713 unique attacks in the second half of 2021. The mentioned “record” attack occurred in November, originated from over 10,000 sources from the U.S., South Korea, China, Russia, and other countries.

• More cyberattacks come from China than any other countries combined — says FBI.
