Resolved

Hi i have a problem with building my game. When i try to i get this error:

C:\Users\User_PC\Downloads\CodeGymTasks\8.Games\src\com\codegym\games\minesweeper\MinesweeperGame.java:5:8
java: cannot access javafx.application.Application
  class file for javafx.application.Application not found

i tried changing directiories but that doesn't help.

looks like you do not have JavaFX in the classpath Either use some Java 8, that comes bundled with JavaFX (that's the easiest way) or you go here for download and documentation

I downloaded it and added to libraries but still have the same error, can You explain how to use java 8 u mentioned ?

solution

for java > 8: https://codegym.cc/help/17174 to use java 8: - ctrl - alt - shift + s (project stucture) - on the left click SDKs - on the top click the + and then chose download sdk. Take eg. BellSoft Liberica, Amazon Coretto or Azul Zulu (I think it also has JavaFX built in). But do not opt here for Eclipse Temurin. They have chosen to go without FX for 8. For other versions I usually use Temurin. Make sure you have chosen version 1.8. Download it. When finished, click (still in project structure) Project. Here chose for the SDK the Java version you just downloaded. As language level make sure it is set to 8 (Lambdas). Enjoy
