Hi! Nice to see you returning for the freshest digest of the major news in Tech in July. Let’s see what we’ve prepared for you this time.

The Major News in Big Tech in July:

  1. Google co-founder Sergey Brin returns to the company for a curious project – he’s set to help with crafting its Gemini AI system. Gemini is supposed to be the company's response to OpenAI's GPT-4 model which is only available for ChatGPT Plus users paying a monthly subscription
  2. Bing AI arrives on Google Chrome — and now we have at least two AIs to talk to
  3. But not for long… The rumor is Apple has already built its own ChatGPT-like chatbot
In the outer world, apart from AI buzzword, Meta launched its Twitter-like Threads, which has broken the record of gaining new users (30+ M in 24 hours), however, the success was rather fleeting: Threads usage drops as Meta blocks VPN access in EU.
