LAND_AREA variable?

I'm following the spec, but getting the following failure message: "Be sure that there is a LAND_AREA variable in the Earth class." The other three variables validate just fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Here is the Earth class — a collection of variables that describe certain characteristics of the planet Earth.
Be sure that the variables of the Earth class are global constants. Don't forget to rename the variables so that they comply with code style conventions for global variables.

Requirements:

The Earth class's name variable needs to be changed into a global variable.
The Earth class's square variable needs to be changed into a global variable.
The Earth class's population variable needs to be changed into a global variable.
The Earth class's equatorLength variable needs to be changed into a global variable.

Found it, and it's a faulty validation/hints issue. It tells you it wants you to change the name of the second variable to LAND_AREA; it turns out it wants to to change it to SQUARE.

The pro tasks are fairly new and there may be bugs in the validation for some of the tasks. This happens often after new tasks are added. They fix them when brought to their attention in future updates. It may be that you will have to let them know about the error, but you: - sometimes simply resetting the task and doing it again clears errors - Try changing the type of LAND_AREA, maybe a long, instead of a double If you figure out an error on the task leave a note on the task page alerting future students and let codegym know so they can address it.

What does the term "global variable" mean? The static one?

Having a class field that is public static, according to my understanding, is what makes a variable 'global'. This is because it is then available/accessible from any scope.
