When I use the Intelli IDE to try to solve this chess board problem, I saw this message:
Connected to the target VM, address: '127.0.0.1:53542', transport: 'socket'
My solution to this task passed the validation on the web, BUT when I try to run it on the Intelli IDE, it cannot print out anything, and even in debug mode, it shows only the above message.
Anyone know what is wrong with the IDE? thanks for helping.

are you executing the correct main method? IntelliJ remembers the last executed main. If that was from a previous task then that's running.
To make sure the correct main is chosen you should click the little green arrow next to the main method or the Solution class (left hand side) and select 'run' (or 'debug' if is that what you need... the connected to target VM, address: message is normal for debug)
If you use debug then you need to set break points and then step forward through your code. Maybe watch a YouTube tutorial
