Im trying to get all four lines to print lowercase?

I add the .toLowerCase option to the three lines, but how can I make the system out print on top (the first instance).

You can call .toLowerCase() on any String. In your code you use this on the variables, which are Strings, but you can also use that method on String literals:

String variableExample = "Some String";

// example of calling method on variable
System.out.println(variableExample.toLowerCase());

// example of calling method on literal
System.out.println("Another String".toLowerCase());

Both of these work as expected and the output would be 2 lines of those Strings in lowercase. Using the + operator on Strings will concatenate them together and result in a String. Therefore you can put the concatenation in parentheses, which will result in a String, and call .toLowerCase() on that. So to expand on the above examples:

// concatenate and call .toLowerCase() on the result
System.out.println(("Another String" + variableExample).toLowerCase());
