Hello guys, My program works properly, whenever i put any number i want in my program, it gives me correct answer, but last condition it's not correct, can you help me with that?

Implement the getFeetFromInches(int inches) method. The method takes the number of inches. Your task is to make the method return the number of full feet represented by the variable inches. (1 feet = 12 in).

Consider this example:
The getFeetFromInches method is called with the argument 243.

Example output:
20

Requirements:

The getFeetFromInches(int) method must be public and static.
The getFeetFromInches method must return an int.
The getFeetFromInches method should not display anything.
The getFeetFromInches method must correctly return the number of full feet represented by the variable inches.

just divide the given inches with the 12 inches(1feet) then return the output.

Just return the method (return inches/12;) to avoid number conversion. public static int getFeetFromInches(int inches) { return inches/12; }

you can use Math.round() function

yes, I agree. You are overwriting your input parameter that you get for your function public static int getFeetFromInches(int inches) { with a new declaration of the same variable name ("inches = 12"). In your MAIN method, make the parameter you want to convert to feet bigger, i.e. instead of 28 inches, pass 500 or something. Then remove line 15 and 16. You just need to divide the input parameter (inches) by 12, can use something like "result = inches/12; return result;"

The problem is in line 14 - 17. If you look carefully line 13, you will see that the number of inches is already passed to the method via argument variable inches. According to your code in line 10 where you have called the getFeetFromInches() method, variable inches now holds the value 28. So you don't need to reassign a new value to inches variable in line 15. You just need to convert the value of variable inches to feet. Which is mathematically, divide the variable inches by 12. I hope that clarifies your confusion.
