I can't think of how to preserve the while loop logic without a continue. Hint please!

Get rid of the labels in the isSubstringPresent method, but preserve its logic.
The method returns true if substring is a substring of string, otherwise false.
The code should not have break and continue statements.

Requirements:

The isSubstringPresent method must return true if substring is a substring of string.
The isSubstringPresent method must return false if substring is NOT a substring of string.
The isSubstringPresent method should not have break statements.
The isSubstringPresent method should not have continue statements.

Your solution does not pass the verification of points 3 and 4: the contains() method probably uses the break and continue statements.

If it isn't apparent , there is a typo in this one: true if present, false if not Have you tried string.contains()?

or maybe:

for(int i =0; i <= max && !found;i++)

(and the same methodology in the while loop)

solution

Got the typo and tried contains() first thing. Thanks for the tip with !found in the for loop condition. I didn't use it in the for loop but did in the while loop. For others that are stuck, I set found to true and only set it to false if it didn't find a match.

@Guadalupe, nice idea to add the !found condition in the loop. I tried an another solution without the for loop by regen variables and increment i in the while loop, but it didn't pass the 2nd requirement despite I obtained expected results. So I think they want we must use the for loop in all case.
