What is the main function of "return"?

The convertCelsiusToFahrenheit(int celsius) method accepts a value in degrees Celsius. The method should convert the temperature and return the value in degrees Fahrenheit.
The Celsius temperature (TC) and the Fahrenheit temperature (TF) are related by the following relationship:
TF = (9 / 5) * TC + 32.

Consider this example:
A value of 41 is passed to the convertCelsiusToFahrenheit method.

Example output:
105.8

Requirements:

The convertCelsiusToFahrenheit(int) method must be public and static.
The convertCelsiusToFahrenheit method must return a double.
The convertCelsiusToFahrenheit method should not display anything.
The convertCelsiusToFahrenheit method must correctly convert degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit and return the result.

return is nothing but simply the output of the function to the calling function(i.e main function)..... e.g if we add two numbers..2+3 which both are integer type..then the result will be 5...which means the value returned to main function is also integer type.....also we write int main { return 0; } we have used int datatype thai is why we use return 0...which means it will return some value to the main FUNCTION....also return 0 also means successful termination of the program...

return usually returns a value.Based on the return type we use....here our return type is double so the value of TF will b returned in double data type

return will result the the out come of operation performed by TF variable. So in this case TF would be calculated passing argument 41 for celsius variable and will show output TF.
