what mistake i am doing in this code

Write code for the convertEurToUsd method, which converts euros to dollars at a given exchange rate.
Use a return statement to return the result from the convertEurToUsd method. Example: return 123*435;
Call the convertEurToUsd method twice in the main method with any arguments.
Display the results, each time on a new line.

Hint:
The result is calculated using the following formula: US dollars = euros * exchange rate

Requirements:

The convertEurToUsd method must multiply the euro amount by the exchange rate and return the result.
The main method must call the convertEurToUsd method twice with any arguments.
The main method should display the result of the calls, each time on a new line.
The convertEurToUsd method should not display anything.

Hello Raakesh: 1) this was my Hint something was up .... "The convertEurToUsd method should *not* display anything" 2) led to using the println function up in main ( ) method & pass in argument to call & print note -- this has been a wierd Java thing here since I am from javascript 3) I set a local variable ( not initialized ) in the convertEurToUsd ( ) method ( your result var is fine ) -- suggest separate your local variable declaration / scope & the calculation ... someone else needs to explain it

don't print anything on the convertEurToUsd, put the print in the main method. Like this System.out.println(5,3.16);.

in the convertEurtoUsd you should just return the result, not print it, and then in the main you put the println thing and the things you wrote there in (), just like a method, because you're calling the method twice for printing to the screen. Hope this helped on the theoretic level
