Why I am unable to get the proper output ? May kindly explain

Consider this example:
The getWeight method is called with the argument 888.

Example output:
150.96

Requirements:

The getWeight(int) method must be public and static.
The getWeight method must return a double.
The getWeight method should not display anything.
The getWeight method should correctly convert the Earth weight in newtons to the lunar weight, and then return this value.

You are doing Integer division, and 17 / 100 is 0. You need fractional numbers here ( DOUBLE / FLOAT ). You can declare and initialize a new variable, double i = 17 for example, then use i / 100. Your code will look like this:

// write your code here
double mweight;
double i  = 17;
mweight = earthWeight*(i/100);
return mweight;

Another way is to put it this way:

// write your code here
double mweight;
mweight = earthWeight*(17.0/100);
return mweight;
