Second variable?

Both solutions work. Solution 1:

My program displays "Hello Amigo" but it doesn't let me pass the task public class Solution { public static void main(String[] args) { String name = "Ellie"; String text = "Hello,"; System.out.println(text + "Amigo!"); } }

you have declared first variable name of type String with value Ellie. then you declared variable str of type String with value Amigo. That means you are telling us lie where you have actually declared second variable. Even you declared third variable of type String with value Hello, Amigo!. before that you assigned value second time to variable name. still your output matches to their requirement but not so correct.

No, task codition is you only have to declare 2 variables , not more or less. which already exist namely 1:name 2:text but the task aims at changing the value assigned to string 'name'!! so that output is "Hello Amigo!". instead "Hello Ellie!" no big deal just check the conditions one more time!! Requirements: 2. Two variables must be declared. You have three variables declared (String name,String str and String text).
