1. 🌍 Software eats world
In 2011, Marc Andreessen, a Silicon Valley legend and co‑founder of Andreessen Horowitz, wrote the article “Why Software Is Eating the World” 🖥️. Even then, he noted that software had become the main driving force of the economy and was displacing traditional professions. And this trend is only accelerating.
Computers, the internet, and mobile apps have changed the established order of things. Some people found themselves sidelined by technology, and others built entire fortunes 💰. All of this is a familiar story in times of change. Farmers once left the fields, machines took over from many factory workers, and now where there used to be huge accounting departments, there is one specialist with 1C and automation skills.
Technology invariably boosts productivity 📈. Machines and robots remove routine work, and “smart” software increases demand for skilled specialists who know how to operate this equipment and create new services. One professional with modern tools 🛠️ can replace a dozen employees of the previous generation—and earn many times more. The result: services become cheaper, businesses more profitable, and specialists more valuable.
Such tech booms happen regularly: not long ago it was cryptocurrency, and now—it’s artificial intelligence. And if you didn’t manage to buy bitcoin at $1, you won’t have to wait long for the next chance: the new wave has already begun 🚀!
2. 🧠 Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence has been built ✅. In the fall of 2022, OpenAI released ChatGPT 3.5. And the world will never be the same.
This AI easily passed the Turing test. It can play chess at a grandmaster level ♟️ and has passed exams at the most prestigious universities 🎓. And every six months its capabilities double. That’s something to be happy about. Welcome to the future.
The largest tech companies have joined the AI race 🏁. Demand for AI specialists is growing at a breakneck pace. Microsoft plans to spend $100 billion just on building data centers for training AI. Other tech companies are not lagging behind either. There is now fierce competition among IT giants for everything related to AI: servers, data centers, specialists, scientists.
Fun fact. Facebook has started a real hunt for top AI programmers 🎯. In the summer of 2025, it hired several bona fide superstars:
- Poached Zhuomin Pang from Apple for $250 million;
- Poached Alexandr Wang from Scale AI for $200 million;
- Poached Trupti Bansal from OpenAI for $100 million;
- Poached Nat Friedman from GitHub for $100 million;
- Poached Daniel Gross from Safe Superintelligence for $50 million;
All these specialists have been invited to Meta on record-breaking terms 🏅—even many corporate executives never had such contracts and bonuses. The current battle for AI talent is a true “arms race,” and Meta has decided to play big.
3. 🧐 How will this affect you?
The news is actually great 😎. First, it has already become clear how the AI business will develop. Apparently, AI companies will provide AI-as-a-Service: that is, they will not try to push all competitors out of the market, but will simply become AI contractors 🤝.
Second, any revolution, including a technological one, is an opportunity to build your career quickly. “Can’t stop it? Lead it!” So it’s unwise to ignore the AI revolution ❌; the smart move is to join ✔️. Better yet—be among the first.
Human + AI will outcompete a human without AI. Just as a person with a spear beat a person with a stick, a person with a gun 🔫 beat a person with a spear, and so on. Artificial intelligence will greatly increase the productivity of people who know how to work with it. And such specialists will be needed everywhere 🌐.
And third. Over the next decade, a ton of products and online services 🌱 will appear that will make the work of ordinary people better, faster, and cheaper. This will take the global economy to a new level 🚩.
Undoubtedly, these companies will need strong specialists capable of using AI to create products that, together with AI, will deliver services. You need to become that person.
4. 🌑 “You were supposed to fight evil, not join it”
Will AI replace programmers? No. Quite the opposite 😈. Programmers, with the help of AI, will replace all the other professions. The last profession to disappear will be the programmer 😛.
Come to the dark side. The dark side of AI opens the way to possibilities many consider unnatural…
