8.1 Course Goals

The goal of our course is to turn you into a real Python programmer. To achieve this, you need to do 3 things:

  • You must complete the course
  • You must find a job
  • You must successfully handle that job

To ensure you successfully complete our course, we'll support and motivate you. Mentors will answer any questions you have, and working in a team will make your learning more fun.

You'll never be alone with your problems or questions. There will always be people to help or guide you. In your group, you'll have a supervisor, a mentor, and of course, you can always ask your fellow students questions and help them out too.

We've created a full Career Center to help you land a good job. There you'll learn how to properly craft a resume, what to include, and what not to. How to justify employment gaps. What an IT company employer expects to see in a good resume, and what turns them off. This will be very useful to you.

Finally, to ensure you successfully handle your duties in your first programming job, we provide extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills. If you study well and complete all the practical tasks, you'll be able to land a mid-level position right away.

It's all in your hands. We're giving you everything you need, and might need, in your first year of work.

8.2 Your Resume

Here's what your resume might look like after finishing the course:

Objective:

One year of experience in Python development. Developed three web projects for AWS & Google Cloud platforms. Contributed to backend development using the Django framework with Django Rest Framework. Additionally, I have created several bots for Telegram messenger. I continuously enhance my knowledge and skills.

Of course, you'll only explore many technologies briefly. But you'll be familiar with them and able to honestly explain in interviews what you did, how, and when.

8.3 Course Plan

Your training will cover 17 key topics:

Your Final Project and Career Center will run simultaneously, so you'll fit within 52 weeks. But in any case, we leave room for the mentor to adjust the learning plan. If you want to dive deeper into a topic, skip something, or add a topic not in the plan — negotiate with your mentor. You're not in college after all :)

8.4 Practice is Everything

Our whole training is built on practice. By constantly practicing, you'll remember everything more easily and understand it faster. Practice will consist of 4 major directions.

First, you'll need to follow along with the mentor. The mentor will cover various technologies in webinars and video lectures and show you how to work with them. You'll simply need to follow along. Your brain will memorize what and how to do on its own. Plus, this is when questions may arise, which you can ask your mentor.

Second, our course includes many small practical tasks with auto-checking, so you can train and hone your skills. Any theory is tested by practice, so solve a couple of tasks after each lecture and even complex material will become much clearer.

Third, approximately every two months, you'll have a separate project. Some you'll write yourself, some as a group. Or the mentor might explain new material and write a complex project simultaneously. We fully trust the mentor and their experience here.

And fourth, at the very end, you'll have a large final project lasting about two months. You can do it entirely, partially, or not at all. The mentor will still be helping you. If you complete the project — look for a job as a mid-level developer right away.
